Rhyolite, Nevada I Situated in the middle of the desert, water was hard to come by in Rhyolite. (Apparently it was carted in at a cost of $5 a barrel). This rusted hulk is located at the top of an adjecent hill and its resemblence to the work of Richard Serra drew us in spite of the 50 degree heat! Read more of the history here.
